Side 2 is Ploughjack: Molly Dancing Of The Fens And Plough Customs Of The East Midlands. Ashley Hutchings was a founder member of three of the most noteworthy English psych folk rock bands in England; Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band. 'This album is neither a work of scholarship, nor is it entertainment pure and simple. Rather, it lies somewhere between the two... What I feel is valuable about the Molly and Border Morris is the insight it gives us into the oldest, most basic, least civilised antics of our dancing ancestors... It may well be impossible to satisfactorily capture centuries of tradition on one long-playing record, but what I hope is that I have faithfully related many of the interesting elements that made up these customs and, who knows, possibly even taken you there for a brief moment...'
